Last week, from June 16th to June 18th, Glaston successfully hosted the first Glaston Innovation Day, a virtual customer event about the latest innovations and trends in the fields of architecture, automotive and glass processing. Hundreds of Glaston current and potential customers from all over the world registered to participate in a total of six conferences. Glaston's product and industry experts shared their insights on the latest developments in glass processing technology.
Held at Glaston’s production hall in Neuhausen-Hamburg, Germany, two live conferences are held every day: one on the latest developments in architectural glass, and the other on the latest news on Glaston’s automotive and display glass technology .
In the architectural glass segment, the digitization of the flat tempering process was demonstrated, and the latest innovations such as online fragmentation prediction of each piece of glass and artificial intelligence (AI) white fog detection were demonstrated. In addition, an integrated production line and autopilot for the tempering process have also been introduced. The autopilot reduces the operator's influence and provides parameter-free process control.
A higher degree of automation is also on the agenda during the lamination process.
